What can i say about the 2011 season opening weekend, except epic. From the moment we touched down to the day we left it did not stop snowing. It laid down well over a foot a day, now that's what I call a good start to the season. The snow was so good we even skipped the obligatory opening season party (it was only Ke$ha this year!) so we could ensure an early start.
From the drift at the top of the red8 in Flachau to the powder bowl runs in the winks we could not shift the grin from our faces. As always in Ski Amade there where no lift lines or crowded pistes, in fact on some of the sweet spots we visited we were the only people there so could re-trace the line we had laid down on the subseqent run. With Christmas just round the corner the town square was holding a Chistmas market which offered a chance to get those last few presents and of course sample a gluhwein. Enjoy these snaps and get out here soon.....
